BMW M2 enjoys an extensive overhaul by Autoid
UK-based customization shop Autoid has announced a gorgeous-looking tuning kit for the G87 BMW M2. It is called the TR87 Edition and comprises a full body kit along with an exhaust system and some chassis tweaks. Only 10 units will be made.
The body kit looks particularly striking with reshaped air intakes, a bold front splitter and side skirt extensions. The diffuser at the rear end is extended and a new adjustable rear wing sits on the trunk cover. Rear bumper winglets and ventilated front fenders round off the list of styling changes.
It’s not exclusively about style, either. Autoid says all parts are fabricated from prepreg carbon fiber and generate an extra 108 kilos (238 lbs) of downforce at 193 km/h (120 mph). The same goes for the optional exhaust system, which simultaneously improves the engine sound and adds a couple extra horsepower to the total (the company doesn’t mention how much, though).
Those looking to maximize the racing potential of their M2 can get the optional Handling Package. It comes with coilovers for the suspension, a wider track, new control arm bushings and other track-friendly mods. A special control unit called CSL Map is introduced to keep everything running smoothly.
The base TR87 Edition package costs £13,000, with the Handling add-on coming in at £4,450.
