Techart celebrates half a century of Porsche 911 Turbo with a special edition
The legendary 911 Turbo is turning 50 years old this year, and Techart wants to mark the occasion with 20 very special cars called “Monochrome”.
The Monochrome package improves upon the tuner’s own GT Street R build limited to 87 production units. Working with a normal GT Street R, the company adds its own badge to the hood, puts 22-inch Formula VIII Forged wheels into the arches, and proposes multiple rear spoiler designs to choose from. Despite the name, the Monochrome can be obtained in a wide variety of colors – not just shades of grey.
A look inside reveals a posh ensemble of leather, Alcantara and retro upholstery. Aluminum accents can be seen on the pedals, the side sills and the footrest. That said, Techart will be happy to implement your own, custom design instead if you prefer something different.
Last but not least, every car gets its flat-six engine massaged to 810 PS (799 hp / 596 kW) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the 911 can attain a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
There is no mention of the price, but the GT Street R starts around €100,000 above stock 911. The Monochrome Edition has to be pricier still.
