Stellantis threatens to shut down 2 Vauxhall factories

After barely sorting out the beef with the new government of Italy, Stellantis Group has admitted struggling with the imperfect EV regulations in Great Britain.
According to Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares, the regulatory bodies in the country impose unrealistic EV production quotas on automakers, forcing them to produce twice as many electric vehicles as they can hope to sell in this economy.
In view of the above, the company is strongly asking UK to reconsider its current EV regulations and tax benefit policies. Should it fail to comply, the U.S. corporation says it may have to shut down two Vauxhall factories in the country that are reportedly running at a net loss right now.
