Cadillac Escalade goes RHD in the UK
Tuning specialist Global Conversions announced a right-hand-drive conversion of the Cadillac Escalade last year, and it’s now available for ordering – albeit at nearly double the price.
The company works with the 2023 ESV Sport Platinum spec, moving the steering wheel to the right, rebuilding the entire steering mechanism, replacing the dashboard and tweaking the electronics to accept these extensive permutations. The stock 6.2-liter V8 stays under the hood and continues to output 426 PS (420 hp / 313 kW) to the wheels along with 625 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque.
Deliveries are being made to 77 countries around the world, with the final price largely dependent on shipment costs and taxes. In the UK, owning a right-hand-drive Escalade is a matter of £157,000. To put things into perspective, a brand-new Escalade with the same trim options costs roughly $118,690 on its domestic market, which translates to £93,000.
