You can tell it’s not a regular C8 by the elaborate front bumper design and a large fixed rear wing at the back. A similar wing cropped up in the official teasers of the next-gen Corvette ZR1, so it could be that one.
According to rumors, the new powertrain will incorporate a turbocharged V8 and output around 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW), making the car the most powerful mass-produced Corvette in history. On the other hand, the part-electric Ferrari SF90 utilizes four motors to slam the asphalt with over 1,000 horsepower, so we are somewhat skeptical about comparing the two.
The most plausible theory right now is that Chevrolet plans on producing a supercar named Zora after Zachary Arkus-Duntov, the designer of the first-generation model. These rumors have been circulating for a few years now without any confirmation. If such a model does reach the market, it may do so with a high-end petrol engine and multiple electric motors, following the example of recent Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Even if the rumors are proven true, the production will most likely not start until 2026, CarBuzz believes.
