2025 Chery Tiggo 8 Plus shows up in official pics
Chery has shared the first images of its facelifted Tiggo 8 Plus. According to AutoHome.cn, the SUV will go on sale later this year, but customers in China need not look forward to any new powertrain options.
Starting at the front end, it looks markedly different with a more smoothly outlined mesh grille and a new bumper. The headlights are stacked with V-shaped DRLs now sitting closer to the hood and the main lamps built into the bumper.
Moving on to the rear, the bumper there looks bulkier than before and houses trapezoid exhaust tips. The taillights are merged into a single stripe in keeping with the trends.
With these design tweaks, the new Tiggo 8 Plus is a little bigger than the old version at 4,730 x 1,860 x 1,740 millimeters (184.8 x 72.7 x 68 inches). The wheelbase stays unchanged at 2,710 mm (105.9 inches).
It is speculated that Chery will update the interior to be more in line with its other, more upmarket SUVs, like those from the Exeed brand. Large separate displays for the instruments and the multimedia seem especially likely. Having said that, the interior remains to be revealed.
For the powertrain, buyers will be choosing between a 1.6-liter turbo engine rated at 197 PS (194 hp / 145 kW) and its bigger 2.0-liter counterpart capable of 254 PS (251 hp / 187 kW). The transmission choice will be between seven-speed DCT and eight-speed automatic.
The latest Chery Tiggo 8 Plus currently costs 126,900 Yuan in China, with the top trim starting at 148,900 Yuan. The update shouldn’t change the price range much.
