The all-electric coupe-SUV Luxeed S9 was announced in 2023, but is still running its pre-production tests. Spy shots of a camouflaged vehicle cropped up last December, and now we’ve got some wrap-free images from Car News China.
The publication believes that the SUV will debut in the next few months – not later than the end of Q3 2024. In the meantime, you can throw a glance at the photos to see that the S9 shares most of its design with the S7 sedan from the last year. It has the same side mirrors, front and rear ends, and a LiDAR above the windshield.
An earlier interior shot reveals a thick-rimmed steering wheel and two separate displays – one for the digital dash and the other one for the infotainment system.
Luxeed is a Chinese car marque founded by Chery and Huawei. It designs cars on the E0X platform developed by Exlantix. It’s already official that the Luxeed S9 will go on sale with one (RWD) and two (AWD) electric motors. Their specifications haven’t been revealed yet, but the S7 sedan has 292 PS (288 hp / 215 kW) and 496 PS (489 hp / 365 kW) in these two variants. It also offers a choice between an 82-kWh and a 100-kWh battery.
