For the first time on record, this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in June will be attended by an all-electric safety vehicle.
Driver Coco Zurita will be driving an Acura ZDX crossover built on a platform known as the GM Ultium up the 20-kilometer (12.4-mile) long mountain track this year.
Acura will also be taking part in the race itself. Two modified Integra liftbacks will be representing the company this season, both running on regular gas.
