Chinese automaker Avatr has shared more images of the 07, its upcoming all-electric crossover openly advertised as the direct competitor of the Tesla Model Y. It features a refreshingly futuristic cabin design with numerous displays and looks unlike most EVs on the market of China today. It is expected to go on sale very soon with four powertrains to choose from.
The SUV features a layered front panel with triangular inserts at the sides, a two-tone trim, seats wrapped in off-white fabric, and a three-spoke steering wheel. There is no dedicated gauge cluster in front of the driver – all the gauges are displayed on a thin display installed just below the windshield. Two displays at the sides act as electronic side mirrors.
The middle of the panel is occupied by the biggest screen providing access to all in-car functions. The steering wheel is the only place where physical buttons can be seen.
Avatr also provides a glimpse of the rear bench seat with a bulky armrest in the middle housing some cup holders and a touch panel. Its purpose is unclear, but we suppose it can be used for seat adjustments and changing the HVAC settings. A closer look reveals as many as three speakers on one of the doors, out of 25 total.
